Selected Past Round Summary

Where do we start, the rain stayed away long enough, just mind you to get results on the weekend and although 1sts, 2nds & 3rdsd all won the 1s, 2s & 3s red went from 2nd spot to 3rd and the 3rds blue went from 4th to 5th and out of the finals thanks to some interesting shall we say outright results at other grounds.

Still we have 8 teams playing finals this weekend and some clubs have zip so we shouldn't be bitter but we should get even! look at Palmy here we come in 1sts and 2nds and boy do we have long memories.

Smithy, keeps telling us about 1994 when Palmy bought in a state player as a ring in to knock over the Bushmen and Hinzey is still angry about a game some of his family played in and lost to Palmy in 1903!

Semi final for 1st grade is at Salk Oval Palm Beach Sat & Sun 12.15pm start

2nd grade also playing Palmy, venue likely to be Broadbeach at the same time but unfortunately and tragically we have lost the Magoos King Zuchini Darren Hinze to interstate work commitments, stick fat boys 

3rd grade red are playing Queens at Dux oval, we have lost Retzy to a broken hand and Harves to a bung knee but onwards and upwards boys, also Sat & Sun 12.15pm start

5th grade blue & red that is now 6th grade are playing each other on Neilsens Rd turf in a semi final Saturday at 12.15pm start for a spot in the GF, should be a cracker as last time they met the youngsters knocked off the oldies

Under 17s are playing Coomera Sat & Sun at Oxenford in the GF. Under 15s are also in the GF playing Queens at Angove and the 14s made it to the big dance also playing Coomera at Sam Loxton 2 Runaway Bay.

Good luck to all and lets hope the clubrooms are full of "out we come out we come to play on Sunday evening"!
