Russell was born on the 4th July 1953. His first game with the Club was with the B Grade side in 1968. He also played for 3 years with the Queens C.C. and 4 Years with the Springbrook Cricket Club where he was either Vice President or President of that Club for the time he was there. Russell played mainly B and A Reserve grades with our Club with a few A Grade games. His last game for the Club was in 1991/92.
A committee member for many years, Russell served as President of the Club for approximately 13 years. He was also both a Senior and Junior Delegate to the Gold Coast Association for our Club as well as a Junior Coach for 4 years.
Russell was made a Life Member in 1995.
